A 5 shot 38 bore 1851 Adams self cocking percussion revolver with 1854 “improved” frame, 13½” overall, barrel 7½”, the top flat engraved “DEANE ADAMS & DEANE, 30 KING WILLIAM ST, LONDON BRIDGE”, London proved, the barrel and frame line engraved, the frame with scrolls and “ADAMS’ PATENT No 13012R”, the cylinder also engraved “No 13012R”, with chequered walnut butt and engraved butt cap with hinged trap. GWO & C, well reblued overall; in its green baize lined fitted oak case, the lid escutcheon replaced with an Italian silver 5 lire coin, with trade label of “Edward London, 51 London Wall, London” and containing 1851 Registered Adams double cavity 38 bore bronze bullet mould, Dixon copper powder flask (spring AF), nipple key with pricker, turnscrew, cleaning rod, pewter oil bottle, small soft leather bag for Eley Bros copper caps for Adams Revolvers (worn), and key to the case.
