A pair of champagne saucers as used in the opening credits of series 5 of The Avengers TV series (1967), starring Diana Rigg as Emma Peel and Patrick McNee as John Steed.
Provenance: Some of the filming took place at Home Farm, Aldenham, near Elstree Studios, where the vendor's husband grew up. The glasses were given to his father after filming.
Image and screen captures of the original opening credits are unfortunately not of sufficient quality to allow for screen matching and it is unknown whether multiple sets of glasses were used in the production.
