A mid 18th century silver mounted 22 bore "Queen Anne" style cannon barrelled flintlock boxlock side action pistol, by Griffin, Bond Street, 12" overall, turned off barrel 5½" numbered "1" on barrel and breech; London proved and signed below the L shaped frizzen spring; square back trigger guard retaining traces of trophy of arms engraving; bulbous walnut butt having shell carving around the barrel tang and silver mounts comprising grotesque mask butt cap, foliate scrolled sideplate, and escutcheon.
