*A DB 12 bore x 2½” Westley Richards & Co top lever hammerless boxlock ejector shotgun, number 0.1586, believed to date from c 1925-6, 44½” overall including 1½” extension to the butt, barrels 28” with dolls head extension, the top rib engraved “Westley Richards & Co London” and “The Heronshaw”, nitro proved; the rounded frame nicely engraved with entwined strapwork and foliage, gold inlaid automatic top safety; walnut stock with chequered fore end and wrist, and vacant silver escutcheon. GWO & C, the frame retaining faint hints of colour hardened finish (some wear commensurate with much use). Note: a Shotgun Certificate is required for this item £60-120
