Post 1953 Pattern 1897 Contract Infantry Sword
32 1/4 inch, dumbbell blade with central fuller. Etched foliage scrolls. The forte stamped with crowned ERII cypher. Plated steel guard with pierced scroll decoration and crowned ERII cartouche. Plated steel checkered backstrap. Ribbed grip with twist wire binding. Some rusting and plating loss.
