£360
An 18th Century thirty hour longcase clock movement, the 10 inch square brass dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed Thomas Bridge Londini Fecit, housed in a later associated oak case, height 185cm, S/D.
The movement and dial have been later 'married' to the oak case. The seat board is loose. The weight and pendulum are both present. The brass movement is considerably cleaner than the back of the dial - the movement is un-signed and may have been later 'married' to the dial itself - please see additional images of the movement and dial. There are odd screws to the corners of the rear of the dial where the spandrels have been affixed, indicating that the spandrels may have been added later.
The case as mentioned has been later 'married' to the dial and movement. The case has been stripped and re-stained. There is some re-construction to the hood and there is a small section of loss to the left hand pilaster on the hood. The trunk door lock has been replaced.
