CHINESE CANTON LACQUER FAN. A 19thc fan with black lacquered sticks painted with a variety of figures, flowers and birds, the leaves painted with groups of figures in conversation within landscape scenes, and borders of flowers. Mounted in a wooden and glazed frame. Frame 54cms by 35cms.
Not accessible from the back, I can see a small tear to the left side of the leaves, the central area of the leaves has a few small tears and a couple of possible repairs, right side again has a couple of small tears. Sticks, seem generally fine.
