A gold USA Indian head dollar – quite a rare coin but this piece has some soldering on the reverse which may be an attempted jewellery repair. As a result, the date isn’t clear but the year range for this large head coin is 1856-1889 and it appears to end in a 2, so 1862, 72 or 82, with low mintage in those last two years. Edge knock 12 o’clock obverse and the reverse damage shows in the photo.
