India Letter. 1828 (Jan 1) Entire letter from Calcutta to London "per H.C.S Marquis of Wellington", backstamped with a Calcutta c.d.s and black boxed "INDIA LETTER / SHOREHAM" (a few letters a little faint but very scarce), charged 2/4. This India Letter handstamp unlisted by Robertson, only recorded by Tabeart in 1828. Photo on Page 72.
