A GOOD LATE 19TH / EARLY 20TH CENTURY MAHOGANY OVERMANTEL MIRROR, a lot of work went in to the making of this piece of home décor. From the dentil moulding found on the stepped pediment to the carved fluted and turned column detail to the sides, it really is a fantastic example of a carpenter’s skill set in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A band of carved fluted detail backs the shelf area, which sits over the bevelled glass below. To the sides are carved foliage details and fluted and carved columns. dimensions: 137 x 106 x 7cm (W x H x D), shelf is 20cm deep, mirror 115cm x 54cm (W x H). Condition: in good condition; commensurate with age and use. Some de-silvering to the original mirror.
