A RARE WORCESTER YELLOW GROUND CABBAGE LEAF MOULDED MASK JUG, the body London decorated with two large reserves of birds and leafage possibly by Giles, three smaller reserves of birds all within finely painted gilt scroll and leafy frames, scrolling handle gilded at the top with leafage and scaled beneath, the mask spout polychrome detailed, the neck with reserves of insects beneath gilt and green leaf and alternate floral sprays gilt dentil rim, 20.5cm high, gilt crescent to base (probably added with later London decoration). Firing crack to underside of first scroll on handle and along the mould line on the outer side of handle.
Very little rubbing to the gilt, 1.5cm section of rim line is rubbed
Scratch to enamel on top border to right of handle.
