A Rare Blue and White European Subject Dish, Kangxi, decorated in good blue with a central medallion garden scene of two Dutchmen raising their hats to each other beside a jardiniere among pierced rocks and flowering shrubs, the everted rim with alternating panels of flowers and of pairs of birds, Chenghua six character mark to base, W:26cm. Illustrated in 'European Scenes on Chinese Art', Jorge Welsh, London 2005, pp.30-31. Very few examples of this pattern are recorded.
