A LARGE INDIAN MUGHAL CARVED STONE LION SHAPED WATER SPOUT, 17TH-18TH CENTURY
A carved stone water spout in the form of a lion, originating from Mughal India, dating to the 17th-18th century. This piece features a lion’s head, its open mouth functioning as the water outlet. The body is intricately carved with a repeating scalloped and foliate pattern, framed by a zigzag motif along the top edge.
