Addendum: Possibly a Merchant Navy or Foreign example. A 19th century British Navy Boarding Cutlass, with 24" curved blade with single edge and full-length fuller, steel knuckle guard, ribbed cast iron grip, all-over pitting but traces of original black paint to hilt and grip, lacking scabbard.
