M1 (E) Garand Bayonet. Rare maker: Oneida Limited. This is an “E” for experimental. It was made from a cutdown 16-inch bayonet when the need for a shorter fighting knife/bayonet was being trialled. This proved a success, and the shorter bayonet went into production by the end of 1943. You can see that the “Fuller” or blood channel has been cut whereas a later standard M1 has a spear point after the Fuller. UK P&P Group 2 (£20+VAT for the first lot and £4+VAT for subsequent lots)
