Tim Andrews (B. 1960) - A vintage late 20th-century ceramic raku vase, with smoky yellow, blue, and pink colours to a charcoal background to the exterior and a crackle glaze to the interior. Bublous shaped body. Impressed 'TA' mark to the bottom of the vase. Measuring approx. 15cm tall.
Tim Andrews is an English studio potter, who specialises in smoke-fired and raku ceramics. Andrews trained as an apprentice to David Leach and studied at Dartington Pottery Training Workshop before setting up his first studio in 1981. In 1986 he returned to Lowerdown and now has a studio at Woodbury in Devon. He is a part of the Craft Potters Association and has published a number of books on the craft of raku. He exhibits his work internationally and is found in both public and private collections including, the Ashmolean Museum, St John's College, Oxford, New York, Lord Chancellor Lord Irving, and more.
