Warren Expedition. 1885 Stampless soldiers rate cover endorsed "From Trooper Kent 1st M.R, On Active Service, No Stamps Procurable", countersigned by the Commanding Officer of C. Troop on July 10th, with "BARKLY / G.W" c.d.s (July 19), backstamped at Cape Town and upon arrival in England, charged the single 1d rate.
