A FINE EARLY 19TH CENTURY PRESENTATION TYPE SILVER MOUNTED DOUBLE BARREL FLINTLOCK SHOTGUN BY LEPAGE, PARIS. with twist browned reeded barrels, engraved swan neck hammers, signed bevelled engraved lockplates and double trigger on a highly figured walnut stock with beautifully carved boar's head, chequered pistol grip and forend, silver trigger guard with relief stag and shellwork leading to a silver figural trigger plate, the silver ramrod aperture decorated with stylised swans, the silver butt plate engraved to the border with relief lion to the top, wood ramrod with horn tip - similar gun by the same maker can be found in the Royal collection at Windsor Castle.
