Imperial German WW1 GEW 98, 7.92mm, bolt action service rifle, barrel 30", made in Oberndorf 1906. Large Visor rearsight, woodwork has a piece of shrapnel embedded in forend. Buttstock with repair to the underside and a chunk missing from the grip. Possibly used as a rack rifle to be fired as battery to fool the enemy, employed at Gallipoli & on the Western Front. With current certificate of deactivation
