Pre-stamp to 1840 (45), inc. 1830 EL with scarce pale but fully readable orange red MALVERN WELLS/Penny Post; udc's PERSHORE & GATESHEAD; 1839 red GLASBURY udc and weak dated HAY with "3" in 1839 very small. etc; 1840-1900 covers (36) inc. two unstamped ELs, 1850 to Berlin & 1851 to Lille France; 1842-77 1d pink & reds imperf. & perf; 1857 2d blue cancelled with good CHESTER Spoon, interesting content re. displaying Visitation notices; 1859 Jan. 1s green (trimmed on left) via Marseilles to Calcutta; 1861 EL with 6d lilac (heavy cancel), to Konigsberg (now in Russia), with fine Aachen entry mark; 1898-02 undivided back PPCs (30+) mainly posted abroad; small book post (2) plus 40 later cards, two cards sent under cover have reports of train crashes, 1908 Australia 60 lives lost & 1906 Canada, 14 lives lost, "could not get seats so had to get a later train..saw the cars still burning."; QV Mint P.Stat. inc. 1d red on blue letter card front with "SPECIMEN" overprint, two marks near base of card; cancelled to order envs. 1s green and 4d orange, 3d pink and 2d blue, 3d yellow, etc. 6d purple on mint PO Telegraph form A.1. piece missing from lower left edge.
