A folder containing approx. 400 assorted colour and black and white slides. Approx. 100 of the slides detail the development of thermit welding with regard to railway track and joints. These are in the form of "instructional" slides, probably part of a slide show/talk. The rest are on site photos of track welding and site visits over the BR network, including BSC Workington where most BR track was made. Also some visits to sites on the SNCF network in France. The photos date from the 1970's and are well captioned. Personal photos are sold with copyright, sample illustrated.
