In the manner of George Jacob; a Louis XVI style finely carved wood and gilt gesso fauteuil, late 19th century, with tied acanthus frames, pineapple finials and arched floral cresting above stuff over back and broad bow-fronted seat with carved guilloche rail, supported by spiral turned tapering legs. 71 cm wide x 67 cm deep x 107 cm overall height, 46 cm height to the seat top. The inner seat frame is stencilled MDIII and bears a circular paper household label.
