Knife: A good & genuine 1st Pattern F.S. fighting knife. Slim D/E blade 7". Square ricasso etched 'The F - S Fighting Knife' and the reverse ricasso 'Wilkinson Sword Co. Ltd. London'. 'S' crossguard 2'. Coarse knurled grip. Then knife is in a 2nd Pattern Scabbard (Elastic retainer a/f). The correct 1st Pattern Scabbard was made by BHG (Barrow Hepburn & Gale) and has a leather retainer with a Newley press stud fastener and lacks the reverse reinforcing piece on the 2nd Pattern. 1st Pattern knives are Rare
