The other side of the tooth with inscription “Whaling in the Pacific ship Mary 1853” with a depiction of a whale hunt. The sailing ship flying the flag of the United States, and a pair of manned row boats rowing towards the breaching whale, the sailors at the front of each boat wielding harpoons.
