A WWI CASUALTY GROUP OF MEDALS TO ROYAL SUSSEX REGIMENT, the medals consist of a British war medal, victory medal and a memorial plaque, the medals are named correctly to G-11270 PVT C.W.NELSON R.SUSSEX; R, the plaque is named Charles William Nelson, Mr Nelson was serving with the 2nd battalion of the Royal Sussex Regiment when he was killed in action on 9th September 1916 and is buried in the Caterpillar valley Cemetry in France, online records show he was born in Royston Hertfordshire about 1890 and on the 1911 census he was living at the Prince of Wales on Barkway Street Royston, Customers must satisfy themselves prior to sale in regards to conditions and authenticity, viewing is advised, condition reports are available on request
