Charles I (1625-1649) silver Halfcrown, Tower under the king, group III, tun mintmark (S 2773). Obverse: type 3a1 horseman, scarf flying, tun mintmark, '· CAROLVS · D.' G.' MA BR.' FR.' ET · HI.' REX ·' around. Reverse: oval garnished shield with tun mintmark and '· CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO ·' around. Weight: 15.32g. Diameter: 34mm. Grade: nF - near round flan, light tone with some double striking, particularly to the sword and the king's head, otherwise near Fine, the reverse better.
