Ann McKenna's studio is based in the small village of Kilcock in County Kildare. As a painter and print- maker, her work focuses on the narrative dimension of image making in which she explores diverse themes such as ancient Irish legends, fairy tales, Shakespearean plays and more recent stories such as James Joyce's 'Ulysses'. The images she creates are highly narrative, with a strong emphasis on draughtsmanship, bringing many much loved, iconic tales to life. Ann is a member of SULT Artists, founded in response to the Global Pandemic, in 2020. An Artist led collective of ten professional Artists based in Co. Kildare, Ireland, the group joined forces to find new opportunities to share their work. Ann is currently showing original work with SULT Artist at Boland's, Market Square, Kildare Town, R51V267 (June - December 2021)
