AN 1803 PATTERN BRITISH INFANTRY OFFICER's SWORD AND SCABBARD BY OSBORN AND GUNBY. With a 75cm curved, pointed single edged blade with broad shallow fuller, decorated in gilt with military trophies, Royal coat of arms and GR beneath a crown, marked to the ricasso for Osborn and Gunby, marked 'Warranted', with slotted hilt and slender guard with cypher and crown, the leather grip bound in twisted wire, with a lion's heads pommel, in a leather scabbard with three brass mounts and twin ring suspension, 90cm overall. *CR A fine sword, leather on scabbard distressed, light marking and wear in places, but generally in good order.
