A late 19th century Chinese bronze bowl or censer, late Qing dynasty, octagonal form with a pair of riveted cast lion mask handles, the brightly polished exterior engraved with various figures over continuous lappet banding around the circular foot, the base cast with two sinuous dragons surrounding the six-character 'Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi' mark but not of the period, 18 cm wide (includes handles) x 8 cm high, 1371 grams
