Footnote: Leonhard Kern, 1588 – 1662 BRONZE FIGURAL GROUP Height incl. plinth: 11.5 cm. Total height incl. round marble base: 19.2 cm. So-called “piggyback-group“. Cast in brown, patinated and finely carved bronze, in accordance with the model by the design of Kern from the mid-17th century. Facial features and hairstyle are similar to the "Caritas children" in Kassel (Grünenwald 1969, plate 68). Several replicas of this figural group are known.
