SAMUEL GILLESPIE PROUT (British, 1822-1911), “RATISBON CATHEDRAL”, watercolour on wove paper. Similar in composition to Samuel Prouts ‘Chatres’, ‘Ratisbon’ or ‘Louvain’ cathedral interior paintings which feature female figure kneeling and two female figures conversing. Similar in composition to Samuel Gillespie Prout’s ‘Inside Abbeville Cathedral’ sold Christies Amsterdam Lot 92 on 13 July 2006.
