** RARE HONG KONG DETAINED MAIL LABEL; Very rare Nov. 1941 unsealed env. (rear flap missing) to USA franked China 10c on 25c Sun Yat Sen tied by " cds bilingual "CHUNGKING" and a "PATIGNAM"(?) cds with circular "U.S.CENSORSHIP/Examined/By '8372'" h.s. on front and type-script label "After returned from Hongkong/where it was originally sent/throug, [spelling error] and kept for a long/time owing to hostilities,/this letter is now forwarded/via Chungking." and tied by a Canton and Tihwa cds - latter in purple.
