A VERY FINE PAIR OF LOUIS XVI ‘DIRECTOIRE’ ARM CHAIRS, circa 1790, each chair with an upholstered back rest having scrolling detail to the shoulders, padded arm-rests with a carved floral detail to the ends, raised on fluted and turned uprights, with stuffed over seats bow fronts, raised on tapered fluted front legs and sabre back. A fine pair.
