1882-86 ½pi emerald-green, Die I, Wmk CA, fresh o.g. Typical crackly gum, and one shortish perf mentioned for accuracy, still an attractive example of this key rarity, and far above average. Almost the entire stock of this printing was surcharged in 1882 and 1886 to produce SG 25, 27, 29. BPA Certificate (2020) SG 16 cat £5000 Ex Richardson (RL 6 Jul 1960, lot 315 - as the left stamp in a pair) and Charilaos Dikaios (Spink 9 Nov 2011, lot 1141)
