A SECOND WORLD WAR AND KOREA GROUP OF EIGHT TO THE ROYAL NAVY. A group of eight comprising Naval General Service Medal 1915-62 with Palestine 1936-1939 clasp named to M 37219 F T Rowe ERA 2 RN. Stars: 1939-45, Atlantic with France and Germany bar, Africa and Burma with Pacific bar, and War Medal, all unnamed as issued. Korean War Medal named to SEN CD EO FT Rowe R.N. and UN Korea Medal, mounted court style with ribbons. Engineer Commander Thomas Rowe was born on the 6th March 1907 at Gillingham in Kent. He joined the Royal Navy as a Boy at the age of 15 at Portsmouth on the 2nd of January 1923. Promoted to Warrant he had a long and active career. He died on the 29th August 1976 in Portsmouth.
