JOHN MALTBY (1936-2020) - PAINTED WOODEN AUTOMATON. An interesting painted automaton, painted with a small boat 'Hero' in the English Channel, and with a Lighthouse and the Lighthouse Keepers cottage in the background. The boat operated with a weight, and titled 'Outlook fair and warm, winds and calm seas'. Signed to the reverse, 'Maltby'. 31cms high, 25cms across. ** Generally good, a little minor paint loss to the bottom edge in places.
