A Chinese porcelain blue and white charger, 19th century, the shallow circular charger decorated with a central peony medallion surrounded by four fan shaped reserves of sages, further surrounded by a geometric decorated cavetto, 36.5cm diameter

More Information

There are no obvious signs of restoration to the piece. However, there is a stained surface reaching hairline crack descending from the rim approx 2cm. To the surface and underside of the charger, pitting and occasional firing flaws can be seen along with commensurate surface wear and light scratching. The foot rim remains unglazed. No further signs of cracks or damage can be seen apart from the above.
