British WWI War Medal to 1652 SGT W. E. O'Brien 1st G.G.A Indian Defence Force, possibly the Gwalior Group A, as British servicemen were conscripted into the Princely states which formed the Defence Force unlike Indian Servicemen who were volunteers, the Indian Defence Force was later disbanded in 1920, to be succeeded by the Auxiliary Force (India) and the Indian Territorial Force. A scarce War medal issued to a British Soldier who served with the British-Indian Army.
