British West Africa 1 Shilling Trial piece, George VI, struck in stainless steel. Issued in the final year of the late King's life these trial pieces are extremely scarce with examples coming to market very infrequently. TRIAL stamped vertically before the bust and TRIAL horizontally above the 52 in the date, this uneven and possibly hand finished with weakness to the TR. Graded NGC MS66 with just two examples recorded higher.
