Anglo-Scandinavian cloisonne brooch, circa 10th - 11th century. A gilded copper-alloy disc brooch with six peripheral lugs, the centre of the brooch is decorated with cloisonne enamel cells that form a eight-petalled floral design. All but one of the peripheral lugs retain their original blue glass bead. Ref: British Artefacts, volume 3. p. 32.
