An Italian M1888 infantry officer’s sword, very slightly curved plated SE blade 31”, fullered for two thirds length, into twin central fullers at DE point, marked “Clemen & Jung, Solingen” on backstrap and etched with Italian eagle, trophies, foliate devices, etc, on both sides, plated steel hilt, reinforced lower inner edge to knucklebow, 2 sideloops, plain pommel with prominent stud and backstrap with chequered thumbpiece into thumb notch, 4-finger shaped ebony grip, in its plated scabbard with 2 rings.
