Belgium Nurses group with original paperwork and a photo, awarded to Madame du Soleil, who at the outbreak of WW1 was working in a Belgian Hospital in Liege. Madame du Soleil appear sto have avoided the German Army when they invaded and on reaching the coast, joined a ship bound for England. In England she nursed at a hospital in Highgate caring for Belgian Wounded. She was awarded the Belgian Royal Order of the Lion, War Medal, and Victory Medal, these present as miniatures in a case, with the two war medals also present as full size issues. Plus the medallion of L'Armee a ses Infirmieres (named), with and 'EGC' lapel badge. Research supplied by the vendor. Nice lot.
