A LARGE CHINESE PORCELAIN BLUE & WHITE JAR AND COVER - QIANLONG. A large porcelain blue and white jar, painted with a landscape scene including buildings by a river, figures in boats, trees and rocky outcrops, the rim of the jar painted with a floral border and mounted with a metal band. The dome top lid also painted with further landscape scenes, and with metal mounts. 60cms high. *CR Lid, a variety of chips around the outside of the rim and a little restoration to those chips, star crack visible underneath, couple of chips to the underside of the lid, part of metal mount missing.
Jar, part of metal band missing, rim dirty and a little worn where the band has been, the centre has a crack which runs down in a straight line then curves (visible inside as well), there are also some other visible cracks inside (possibly from manufacture), some flaking to the glaze around the side of the base.
