Ancient Roman ring, dating from approximately 100-200 A.D., showcases a beautifully carved carnelian intaglio. The intaglio features the figure of a standing goddess, possibly representing Minerva or Victory, holding a spear, symbolising protection or triumph. The deep red carnelian stone is finely set in a smooth gold band.
