The collection of items were owned by the vendor's late Father and Mother, Mr Samuel Weill Jr. and Mrs Jacqueline Weill. They were American citizens and resided in Ojai California and spent each summer at their holiday property in Maine. Sam with his partner, John Van Neumann. John fronted the VW Porsche franchise in Southern California (acquired in circa 1951) whilst Sam ran the day-to-day business (Johnnie spent most of his time racing his Ferrari’s!. They sold out in about 1971. They remained close friends until “the end”! Samuel and Jacqueline were avid collectors of all sorts of antiques, particularly small curios. These lots are some of their collection.
