There are remnants of a case that may retain some original parts available to the purchaser, if required. The case and movement are in 'as found condition', please see images. * Guernsey longcase clock movements of this early date (August 18th 1743) and by this famous maker are scarce. It is possible that Nicholas Blondel began to date his clock movements some time after 1743, so this one obviously pre-dates those. He worked in Guernsey at the same time as Normandy born clock maker Jean Poppelston who was his Mentor. In November 2018 a commemorative Blue Plaque was unveiled in Cornet Street Guernsey at the spot where his workshop once stood.
As found condition.
