A late 19c German bracket clock, by Winterhalder and Hoffmeier, the barrelled spring movement Ting Tang striking on two gongs. The brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and a pendulum regulation dial in the arch. The corners and arch have scroll spandrels. It is contained in an ebonised case with low bell top with three pineapple finials. The round arch door is flanked by caryatid figures on the canted front corners and the stepped base has a band of gilt moulding and has gilt scroll feet. The clock stands 44cm tall overall.

The case is in good condition and the gilt fittings are all complete. The dial and glass are both in good condition and the movement has been recently cleaned and restored.
