1979 Trabant
Being sold without reserve
German registration number DSD 3-39
Pink, left hand drive
This car appeared in West Berlin just after the Berlin Wall came down, having been given to a Teacher as a gift from his pupils who were leaving school
Painted pink and signed by them all, it was an embarrassment to the teacher who confided his problems to his pharmacist, who just happened to be a microcar enthusiast
He was also a good friend of the Hammonds and with the help of another enthusiast he delivered the car to the collection
Note: This has been on static display at the Museum and will need some re-commissioning/repair
