A large cannon having a cast iron barrel mounted on a wooden carriage with metal fittings and 8 spoke wooden wheels with metal rims. The barrel is 130cms in length with an approximate bore diameter of 10cms and the length to the touch hole of 116cms. The wheels are 78cms diameter. Overall length 194cms. The wheels and barrel can be removed from the carriage for transportation.
That is a good question - my understanding is that the previous owner used to occasionally fire it with a light charge: the barrel wouldn't sustain much pressure though, I feel. So a rather guarded 'yes', perhaps!
