GV Military Medal with Bar of 8097 Serjeant Frederick Stevens M.M. of the K.O.Y.L.I. Landed in France on 7th October 1914. The award of his Military Medal was announced in the London Gazette dated 11th November 1917 for service with the 2nd Battalion, King's Own Yorkshire Light infantry in France. However, his Bar to the Military Medal was announced the week before in the London Gazette on 2nd November 1917. Discharged on 29th January 1919.
